Spring League is back for 2026, bringing flexible scheduling, competitive team play, and just enough strategy to keep things interesting. Designed to work around unpredictable spring weather, this league gives teams multiple opportunities to play each week while still rewarding smart decisions and solid golf. Whether you’re looking to shake off winter rust or compete for weekly prizes, Spring League is built to be fun, fair, and competitive. League Overview Format: 4-Person Scramble Teams: 4 players per team, seeded 1–4 based on handicap Season Length: 8 weeks Start Date: March 9th Holes: 9 holes each week Tee Times: After 3:00 PM only Course Rotation: Front nine and back nine will alternate weekly Scoring: Scores must be submitted through the MPGC App A QR code to download the app is located throughout the clubhouse Important: Entry fees do not include greens fees or cart fees. Greens and cart fees apply each league night played. Days of Play & Weekly Rules To provide flexibility during unpredictable spring conditions, teams may choose when they play each week. Teams may play on Monday OR Wednesday of the current week Teams do not need to declare their chosen day in advance If a team does not complete a round by Wednesday night, they will receive an automatic score of +9 for the week Playing Both Days Teams may play Monday and attempt another round on Wednesday Once any player tees off on Wednesday, the Monday score is void and the Wednesday score becomes the official score for the week Greens fees and cart fees apply for each night played This system adds strategy—do you lock in a decent Monday score, or risk it for a better round on Wednesday? Course Cancellation Policy League will run every scheduled week unless otherwise stated by the course. Any cancellation announcement will be made by 2:00 PM on the day of play Updates will be shared through official MPGC communication channels Prize Fund Entry Fee: $30 per player 100% of entry fees go directly into the prize fund Payouts are based on total league participation No skimming. No funny business. The more players in the league, the bigger the payouts. Weekly Skins Game The Skins Game is optional and can be entered each week . Skins money is split among all skins won that week If no skins are won , the pot rolls over to the following week Only teams that entered the skins game are eligible for payouts Skins are calculated using the team’s official round score for that week , not their best score if they played twice Risk and reward—just the way skins should be. Leaderboards & Standings To keep competition fair and prevent scoreboard watching: No live standings will be available during the week Weekly leaderboards will be posted on Thursday Standings will be shared on: The Memorial Park Golf Club Facebook page The MPGC App The league board in the clubhouse Everyone plays blind. Let the golf do the talking. Missing Player Rules Life happens—we’ve built that into the league. If one player is missing : Each remaining player receives one mulligan to use anytime during the round. The team also recieves a rotating putt throughout the round. If two or more players are missing : The team must play on the other available league night that week If a team misses the entire week: An automatic score of +9 will be applied About Spring League Spring League is intentionally kept more flexible. Spring golf brings uncertainty—weather, schedules, and course conditions can all change quickly. Offering two available days each week gives players more chances to get on the course, spend time with teammates, and sharpen their game. The added flexibility also introduces strategy. You might feel great on Monday, but choosing to replay on Wednesday always carries risk. A single bad hole can cost you a skin—or a spot on the leaderboard. That balance of opportunity and consequence is what makes Spring League unique. We’re always looking for ways to improve, and Spring League continues to evolve with player experience in mind.
